The Library of Congress Gershwin Prize for Popular Song,
the nation's highest award for influence, impact and achievement
in popular song was awarded to Joni Mitchell.

Joni Mitchell performed for the crowd at a star-studded concert
held in her honour. Other entertainers who also performed
were James Taylor, Brandi Carlile, Cyndi Lauper, Graham Nash,
Annie Lennox, Diana Krall, Herbie Hancock, Angelique Kidjo,
Ledisi and Marcus Mumford.
