Joni's comments from the StarArt book: "This painting was done from a photgraph taken while I was doing yoga and this dog happened to walk into the frame. I think of the dog as a guardian of the figure because of this background with the moon and the posture being spiritually related. He could be a spirit animal that was brought on by the posture, but it is open to interpretation."
