Joni's acoustic part is played on a 12-string guitar, which gives some high notes from some of the "bass
strings", where the higher-pitched string that is next to each bass string gives a note one octave up. The
part works fine on an ordinary six-string though.
The basic strum pattern for each bar is shown below. The count of the four quarter note beats is at the top,
the next line shows the length of each strum or rest (q = quarter note, e = eighth note), and the third line
shows the strums, percussive taps (x) or rests (-).
