Joni shares memories of watching Buffy's performances, balancing on her Flamenco Dance shoes while singing into the microphone, and time spent with Buffy at her home in Hawaii.

Buffy made an important contribution early in Joni's career by being one of the first singers to record Joni's songs. She also was the one who suggested to her agent, Joel Dean, and Elliot Roberts that they go to the Café Au Go Go to hear and meet her. Elliot did go and after hearing her perform, immediately expressed an interest in managing Joni's career.
