Dick Cavett. Host of the American Broadcasting Company's "Dick Cavett Show," will have as his guests next Tuesday night the rock singers Jimi Hendrix, the Jefferson Airplane and Joni Mitchell.

The program will be taped Monday at 6:30 P.M. in Studio 2 at A.B.C.'s Production Center on west 67th Street to permit the expected 500 audience guests to sit on the floor around the performers.

A spokesman for the program, which will be seen at 10 P.M., said Mr. Cavett would conduct brief interviews with the performers but that most of the program would be devoted to their performances.
