PET SHOP BOYS frontman NEIL TENNANT was horrified when he finally met his heroine JONI MITCHELL — because she expressed a distinct lack of enthusiasm for his songwriting ability.
The gay pop icon admits he may have taken her comments the wrong way, but he's still stung by what he believes was a veiled insult.
He recalls, "I told her I love her records and her reply was, 'I love your videos.'
"I'm sure she meant to be nice but I thought, 'Agh! You bitch.'"
