In July of 2003, Mingus reported:

Mandi Moore was inteviewed by Katie (Couric) this morning [July 18]. She talked about recording "Help Me" by Joni Mitchell and how much she enjoyed doing it. Katie said, "Joni Mitchell, don't you just love her?" Then Mandi spoke of discovering Joni and how much she liked her.
