Guitar tablature & notation transcribed by Ivan Radivojevic
Why another version of "Coyote"? (And not even in the correct key!)
- Colorful standard-tuning chords that (kind of) sound like open-tuning "Joni" chords [*]. For example, other than E shapes used in the introduction, all chords are of the same M13 type including six different intervals (low-to-high: 1, 3, 6, 2, 5, 7).
- Easy to play/strum. All shown chords are non-inverted and there is no need to skip/mute intermediate strings or to play rootless chords. Each chord's root note is at the low-E string and can be played sustained while various subsets of the other five strings are picked or arpeggiated to great effect.
(Note: For simplicity, the chorus employs the same beat as the opening 2 measures.)
[*] "Coyote" original tuning is C77374 = CGDFCE = Cadd9add11
