After celebrated shows at Galapagos Art Space, The Canal Room, and 45th Street Theatre, Back To the Garden is pleased to play Joe's Pub on 10/7/12.

Challenged by the traditional images of women in the music-industry, Carole King, Janis Joplin, Joni Mitchell, and Laura Nyro bravely explored territory outside the accepted confines of pop music. These prolific singer/songwriters paved the way for women like us: in music, art and life. We celebrate these women, their influence and inspiration.

Featuring: Melissa Hammans (LoveSick, Break Up Notebook, Smokey Joe's Cafe) who also curated this event, as well as, Carey Anderson (Mamma Mia, Avenue Q), Maddy Wyatt (the band of Wyatt), and Amy Lynn Zanetto (Radio City, Kennedy Center, Amy Lynn and the Gunshow.) The amazing band includes Barbara Merjan (drums), Sue Terwilliger (guitar), Julia Adamy (bass) and Debra Barsha (piano) who also provides vocals and music direction. More information and tickets
