She's fashionable, too: A short clip of Joni aired today on the Canadian Fashion Television program during a feature on designer Issey Miyake (who was also honored with an Hommage at World Leaders Festival in Toronto recently). As Joniphiles who follow this sort of thing know, Miyake is one of Joni's favorite designers and she often wears his creations; I remember her mentioning to me how she likes the "crinkly" fabric. In the video clip, Joni talked of how she felt the presence of someone behind her as she admired a painting at a gallery opening in L.A. Loosely quoted, she said "I turned around and here was this tall, dark, handsome Japanese man, and it was Issey! And he said, 'Oh, Joni Mitchell, it's such a pleasure to finally meet you. You're my biggest fan! (laughs)'"

I've finally finished Part Three of my story on Joni's Hommage at the World Leaders Festival. Sorry it took me so long to pull it together, but I wanted to give you the most complete description of the program I could. I'll try to get Part Four done before the spring thaw.
