For the past two years Kiki Ebsen has enjoyed bringing the diverse catalog of Joni Mitchell's songs to those who resonate in the elegant music and profound lyrics. Kiki's Joni Mitchell Project has received wide acclaim in performances from intimate jazz clubs to outdoor festivals.
You'll enjoy this special evening and the genius of the Joni Mitchell songbook at the Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center. Kiki solos on piano on "Both Sides Now" and "Case of You," and shifts to guitar on "Coyote" and "Chelsea Morning," among others. You'll enjoy her band arrangements of "Woodstock," "Big Yellow Taxi," and "Free Man in Paris," "Blonde in the Bleachers," "Twisted," and "Sex Kills."
From Joni's earliest years to her later, more edgy, material, Kiki and her band pay tribute to Joni Mitchell, her music, style, originality and pure artistry. Featuring: Kiki Ebsen-vocals/keys/guitar, Terry Wollman-guitar, Grant Geissman-guitar, Steve Lawrence-bass and Matt Starr-drums.
