Joni Tribute w Dawna Hammers, Woods Hole MA, July 14-15

Dawna Hammers will present her Joni Mitchell Tribute Show “Back to the Garden” on Friday and Saturday, July 14 and 15, at the Woods Hole Community Hall

Ms. Hammers is a local songwriter and recording artist as well as a piano and music teacher. She has recorded three of Joni’s songs; “River,” “Woodstock” and “Both Sides Now.” Ms. Hammers is primarily a pianist/vocalist but also plays a some guitar and dulcimer similar to Ms. Mitchell. Ms. Hammers has performed this tribute show annually for the past three years as part of the “Discover Jazz Fest”in Burlington, Vermont.

Ms. Hammers will be performing a variety of Ms. Mitchell’s early hits such as “Circle Game” and “Big Yellow Taxi” as well as some of her later numbers such as “Blue Motel Room” and “Twisted.” She will also add some of her own original songs.

Ms. Hammers will be joined by other local musicians each night such as Pat Ryan, Klem Klimek, Sam Holmstock, Lisa Esperson and others.

Both shows start at 7:30 PM. Admission is $10 per person.More info
