Video from The Aionoshi Festival in Nara, Japan and staged at Todaiji, an eighth-century Buddhist temple.
Backed by UNESCO and the United Nations, this concert was held over three nights and took place in front of Todaiji, the world's largest wooden building, housing the largest Buddha statue in the world. Organized by British producer Tony Hollingsworth as a meeting of eastern and western musicians, The Great Music Experience was simultaneously broadcast in 55 countries.
Joni is accompanied by Wayne Shorter on soprano saxophone and Ryu Hongjun on traditional Japanese flute.
