Joni Mitchell won't be here Print-ready version

Joni Mitchell fans shed a tear. The blond bombshell with terminal angst, now on a North American tour with an all-star 10-piece band , featuring young guitar wizard Pat Metheny, has turned down a lucrative offer to play Montreal. Promoter Alain Simard was hoping to book Mitchell for two nights at the end of August at the U of M Sports Centre, but travel commitments wouldn't allow it. Mitchell's latest, a tribute to the music of the late Charles Mingus called Mingus, is in the top 25 of Billboard's 100 and climbing.
