Joni Mitchell, in her first Cincinnati appearance, will be perform at the University Cincinnati's Armory Fieldhouse February 10.
In recent years Joni Mitchell has been recognized as, possibly, the leading American female singer-songwriter. In fact some regard her as the "female Dylan" for the sheer poetic lyricism in her songs. Mitchell has touched a wide audience with her deeply moving revelations about love and life. Her latest records have demonstrated a remarkable musical development from simply styled folk tunes to subtlely textured jazz flavored songs.
Though there had been a possibility she might appear at the Riverfront Coliseum, promoter Ross Todd said, "there is no question that Joni Mitchell will appear at the Fieldhouse on February 10.
Tickets will all be general admission, and will be on sale at all Ticketron outlets Friday.
