A native of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Joni Mitchell began her professional career at age 20 playing ukulele and singing in coffee houses. She wrote her first song on the train going to the Mariposa Folk Festival in Ontario. Since then she has recorded three albums of her own material on Reprise and has won a large national following with her sensitive, poetic lyrics and unique vocal style.

"Circle Game," "Morgantown" and "Woodstock," three cuts from her "Ladies of the Canyon" album received especially heavy airplay in the Bay Area. Her latest album, "Blue," yielded the FM favorite, "Carey," on which she is accompanied by Stephen Stills.

Jackson Browne has just released his first album for Asylum Records entitled "Jackson Brown." Although this is his first solo recording, Jackson is no newcomer to the music trade. He has been known and respected within the industry for some time as one of California's most intelligent and prolific contemporary composers.

Browne has written for many of today's leading artists, including Tom Rush, Brewer and Shipley, Linda Ronstadt and Three Dog Night. His "Rock Me on the Water" has been recorded by Johnny Rivers, Linda Ronstadt and the Byrds and now appears on his own album. Also on the album is his "Jamaica Say You Will," recorded earlier by the Byrds.

Jackson Browne sings with poise and credibility and is currently embarked on a major cross-country tour with Miss Mitchell.
