Monday night's performance at the Mississippi River Festival at Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville, was video-taped by National Educational Television (NET) for showing on NET stations either July 27 or Aug. 3.

Besides the actual concert performance, featuring musicians Joni Mitchell and Arlo Guthrie, the NET broadcast will include a brief history of the festival and interviews with the performers.

The program, part of the NET "Sounds of Summer" series, will be narrated by Steve Allen. It can be seen locally on Channel 9, in black and white, and on Channel 8 in color.

Three SIU communications students and John Moormann, SIU Director of TV Programming and Production, assisted TV crews in taping the concert. The students were Tom Webb, Edwardsville, Neal Kassebaum, O'Fallon, and Terry Daney, Belleville.
