Joni Mitchell Symposium

The Faculty of Music at McGill University will host a one-day Symposium on October 27, 2004, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at McGill's Redpath Hall. The Symposium will explore the music and art of Joni Mitchell from many perspectives. It is scheduled to coincide with the presentation of an honorary doctorate from McGill to Ms. Mitchell. Featured speakers will include John Kelly, Ann Powers, Jennifer Rycenga, Udayan Sen, Daniel Sonenberg, Greg Tate, Jacqueline Warwick, and Lloyd Whitesell. Respondents and moderators will include Howie Klein, Daniel Levitin, David Brackett, and Line Grenier.

Registration fees: Can $30/ US $25; Students: Can $15/US $10. (Free to McGill staff/students.) To preregister, please send a check or money order in either currency made out to McGill University, to Lloyd Whitesell, McGill University Faculty of Music, 555 Sherbrooke St. West, Montreal, Quebec, Canada, H3A 1E3.
