Kiki Ebsen’s Joni Mitchell Project—Joni’s Birthday, Westlake Village CA, November 7

Posted October 01, 2019

You’re invited! Party to honor Joni Mitchell’s Birthday with Kiki Ebsen and her Joni Mitchell Project in the welcoming venue of Bogies at the Westlake Village Inn, beginning at 7:30 p.m. We’ll even toast to the 50th-year anniversary of Woodstock for good measure!

Kiki Ebsen (lead vocals, keyboard) is accompanied by outstanding musicians Grant Geissman (guitars, sitar, vocals), Terry Wollman (guitars, vocals), Bernie Dresel (drums), and Stephen Lawrence (bass) in their fourth annual Joni birthday bash.

Sharing songs from 9 albums over a decade of Joni’s career, Kiki Ebsen sings Joni’s compositions with respect to the master who wrote them, but honors her own voice and interpretation of Mitchell’s music. The songs Joni is best known for are included (“Both Sides Now,” “Big Yellow Taxi,” “Chelsea Morning,” “River,” “A Case of You,” and “Free Man in Paris”). But Ebsen’s audiences have grown to love her jazz interpretations of “Blonde in the Bleachers,” “You Dream Flat Tires,” and “Dry Cleaners from Des Moines” as well as “Dreamland” and “I Had a King.” Plus they’re always adding new songs for their audiences.

Enjoy a sample of their. Tickets ($20/$35) available here.
