EXCLUSIVE: Meryl Streep, Goldie Hawn, Cyndi Lauper and Anjelica Huston lead A-listers heading to Joni Mitchell's star-studded 80th birthday party in LA By EVE BUCKLAND FOR DAILYMAIL.COM

Meryl Streep, Goldie Hawn, Cyndi Lauper and Anjelica Huston led the A-listers in attendance at music icon Joni Mitchell's 80th birthday party at Smoke House in Burbank, California on Tuesday.

Streep, 74. Hawn, 77, Lauper, 70, and Huston, 72, were seen making glamorous arrivals at the eatery as they prepared to ring in the songstress' milestone birthday.

Oscar-winner Streep looked incredible in a midnight blue shiny blouse teamed with gray slacks as she arrived with son Henry, 43.

The Kramer vs Kramer star - who it was recently revealed had been split from husband Don Gummer for six years - accessorized with chic shades and was seen wearing her wedding rings.

Actress Goldie cut a chic figure in a black and white top, black and silver patterned coat and slacks, teamed with brogues.

Her locks were worn in soft waves and she sported a radiant palette of make-up.

Time After Time hitmaker Lauper wore a patterned blouse, leather coat and joggers as she arrived at the venue.

The star wore her lavender locks in an updo and sported a bright pop of red lipstick.

Huston looked stunning in a black sheer blouse and flared trousers, teamed with a leopard print coat as she arrived on the arm of a pal.

Singer Brandi Carlile, 42, was also in attendance and looked sharp in a crushed red velvet suit and black blouse.

Mitchell has battled back from suffering an aneurysm in 2015. She was born in Fort McLeod, Alberta, Canada and started honing her craft in clubs across Canada before establishing herself in America.

Her 1971 album Blue is widely considered to be one of the greatest of all time, landing at the #3 spot in Rolling Stone's 2020 list of the 500 greatest albums of all time.

She has won 10 Grammy Awards including the Lifetime Achievement Award in 2002 and Best Historical Album for Joni Mitchell Archives - Vol. 1: The Early Years (1963 - 1967) in 2022.

Mitchell surprised fans in July 2022 by performing an entire set at the Newport Folk Festival, her first full set in over 20 years, alongside Brandi Carlile.

In March Mitchell was honored for her legendary musical career with The Library of Congress Gershwin Prize.

The singer was honored at the annual event held at DAR Constitution Hall in Washington D.C., with a number of luminaries joining her.

Others attending the event included musicians Annie Lennox, Cyndi Lauper, Brandi Carlile, Holly Laessig and Jess Wolfe of Lucius, James Taylor, Paul Williams, Jess Wolf, Ledisi and actress Lynda Carter.

Carlile performed at the event, with a group of singers such as Holly Laessig, Jess Wolf, Brandi Carlile, Ledisi, Annie Lennox, Angelique Kidjo and Cyndi Lauper performing Joni Mitchell's iconic 1970 song Yellow Taxi.

The Gershwin Prize for Popular Song celebrates the work of an artist whose career reflects the influence, impact and achievement in promoting song as a vehicle of musical expression and cultural understanding.
