For the first time since dates were officially announced last week, representatives for Bob Dylan, Van Morrison, Joni Mitchell and the promoters of the shows all agree that the tour is happening, that all three artists are participating and that tickets are indeed going on sale. Tickets for five of the seven dates go on sale this weekend, along with tickets for two Dylan solo club dates in Miami. The web site for Wavelength, the Van Morrison newsletter, is additionally listing six June dates in Great Britain that reportedly will put Morrison and Dylan together again.
The newest two dates on Dylan's U.S. itinerary represent his first shows since his sweeping wins at the Grammy Awards in February. They also present a fairly rare opportunity to see Dylan in a small club, as the Cameo Theatre lists their capacity at only 1,350. After Miami, Dylan is rumored to be embarking on a brief South American tour before launching the co-headline U.S. West Coast dates with Morrison and Mitchell in mid-May.
