Joni's comments from the 1988 eclection art exhibition catalog: "I Do" was not finished in time but it was to be a back drop for our wedding which took place in our house that was on the beach. In November the ocean is like silver lamé in the afternoons and the sky is soft and pastel. These were the colors of the day of our wedding.
