Jazz tribute to Joni, Bethel CT, April 23

A jazz tribute to Joni Mitchell is scheduled on Sunday, April 23, from 6 to 8 pm, at Pizzeria Lauretano in Bethel, CT. The seven-member group includes four Newtown residents — Leslie Ballard (flute and vocals), Roger Post (drums), Matt Spencer (percussion), and Steve Zerlin (bass) — who plan to perform music from Mitchell’s critically acclaimed jazz albums, Shadows & Light, Hejira, Mingus, Miles of Aisles, Court & Spark and The Hissing of Summer Lawns.
