I was 16 years old and had not heard of Joni when when this was on t.v. As soon as heard the albums Clouds and Blue I bought a guitar and learned to sing and play this song. it has remained my favorite song ever since.I just love it Joni. Thanks

I watched this premier episode of the Johnny Cash Show in 1969, as a 14-yr. old. I was very excited about it, because Bob Dylan would be performing (I had recently bought his latest album, "Nashville Skyline"). When I saw Joni's performance on the show, I was totally blown away and instantly became a lifelong fan. I never missed any of her subsequent TV appearances, and finally got to see her in concert on her "Court & Spark" tour in 1974, the first time she played in Austin. The next time she performed in Austin, Dylan came out on stage during the encore, and they sang "Both Sides Now" together, then he sang "Girl From the North Country", which he had performed with Johnny Cash on this same 1969 show. It brought back fond memories of having seen them both on this show. It's great to be able to see these old clips again!
