The secret identity of Joni Mitchell's long-lost daughter is a secret no more. According to Mitchell's mother, Myrtle Anderson, she is Kilauren Gibb, Toronto resident and former model who was featured on the cover of Canadian women's magazine Chatelaine in November 1983. Gibb was reunited with her legendary folk-singing mother in Los Angeles, where Mitchell lives, about 10 days ago.

Mitchell caused a stir last year when she went public with the revelation that she had a long-lost daughter, and made a plea through the media for help in finding out her identity. The two apparently found each other when Gibb commenced a similar search in a bid to find her mother, and was stricken by the similarities in their stories. Both parties are very excited to have finally met. Mitchell has so far refused to comment publicly, but said she will give a statement this weekend.

Model Kilauren Gibb, Joni Mitchell's newly found daughter, was featured on the cover of Chatelaine, a Canadian women's magazine, in November 1983. Gibb, conceived in Calgary more than 30 years ago, was given up for adoption in Toronto.
