Miss Mitchell was born 30 years ago in McLeod, Alberta, Canada and originally intended to become a commercial artist. She took along a ukulele to earn money while enrolled in the Alberta College of Art and discovered that she enjoyed singing more than painting. She appeared in clubs in Detroit, and then went to New York where Reprise Records discovered and signed her. Her new album is "Court and Spark" recorded with Tom Scott and the L.A. Express.
